Getting set up

Welcome! This section details some computer setup that you will need to be able to undertake the computational practicals for the CM4 module.

Note

For most of this course you should be able to use the MSc Genomic Medicine JupyterHub site, which is at:

mscjupyter.bmrc.ox.ac.uk

We recommend bookmarking this link!

Instructions for joining the site are detailed on the JupyterHub instructions page - start there first.

However for various reasons you might also want to set up some of the software on your own laptop or computer. The sections below provide some information on how to start doing this.

• Set up a UNIX terminal.
• installing CONDA.
• Install R and Rstudio.
• Install tidyverse.
