CM4-7: Understanding statistical association

Welcome! This tutorial has several parts which we will go through together.

• Part 1 teaches you to fit a basic logistic regression model in R, using data on O blood group and malaria susceptibility.
• In Part 2, we will explore the notion of confounding by simulating some data
• In Part 3, we will test to see whether various variables might confound the O blood group association.
