With the end of Wellcome Trust funding for the Centre, the unit needed a new name and identity, and after consideration it has been decided that it will change to become the Centre for Human Genetics (with the acronym CHG) and adopt a new logo.

This new identity reflects the Centre’s leading role in human genetic and genomic science research, and we will be working closely with all members of the Centre to develop and implement an engaging new strategy to address the world’s most pressing medical research needs, and secure a diverse portfolio of funding from government, philanthropy and industry.

The new logo is an evolution of the double helix used in the WHG's logo but now complies with the new departmental brand framework to emphasize the Centre's relationship with the Nuffield Department of Medicine and the other NDM units with whom we collaborate.
