Self-generated disorder and structural glass formation in homopolymer globules
Rostiashvili VG., Migliorini G., Vilgis TA.
An attempt is made to demonstrate that a linear homopolymer in the condensed globular phase undergoes a genuine structural glass transition of a type similar to that in a p-spin interaction spin glass with p>2 or a Potts glass model. It is shown that the homopolymer globule is a generic system where frustrations trigger the glass formation.
