Gavin Band's website

I am a statistical geneticist at the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics, University of Oxford (WHG). My interests are in host and pathogen genetics, in particular in the interplay between human and parasite genetics in malaria infections. I am the creator of several software packages for genetic analysis, and designed the widely-used BGEN format. I am also teaching co-lead for the GMS DPhil Programme.
