Qijing Shen

DPhil Student

I graduated in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Statistics in China. My research interests centre around immunology, statistical modelling, and machine learning.

Now I am a second year DPhil student working in both Band group and Ansari group, focusing on the estimation and detection of host-pathogen interactions to develop statistical modelling and data analysis tools to better understand infectious diseases. Current studies focus on the effect of HLA on HCV infection and the progression of chronic liver damage.

Also, I am Deputy Chair of Graduate Student Committee at NDM, and international students officer at Reuben college.
