Band Group: human-malaria interaction and genome coevolution

DPhil Student

I am currently a 2nd year DPhil working in both Band group and Ansari group, focusing on host-pathogen Genome-to-Genome (G2G) interaction. Current studies involves:

1. Evaluating the performance of low coverage whole genome sequencing and imputation.

2. Understanding the relationship between host genome, virus (Hepatitus C) genome, and immunological expressions.

3. Developping mathematical and statistical methods for analysing the G2G matrix to gain insight of host-pathogen coevolution.
