Five members of the MSc Genomic Medicine teaching team have been awarded Advanced HE fellowships in recognition of their roles in teaching and supporting higher education learning.

Advance HE is a British charity and professional membership scheme which seeks to promote excellence in higher education. Their fellowship demonstrates a commitment to professionalism and provides recognition of practice, impact and leadership in teaching and learning.

Five members of the MSc Genomic Medicine teaching team have been recognised across all levels of fellowship by Advance HE. Those who have been awarded a fellowship include:

  • Dr Lydia Seed, MSc Genomic Medicine Teaching Assistant – Awarded Associate Fellowship
  • Dr Eoghan Mulholland , Academic Advisor and Module Lead – Awarded Fellowship
  • Dr Irina Chelysheva, Maternity Cover Course Tutor – Awarded Fellowship
  • Dr Heba Shawer, Course Tutor and Module Lead – Awarded Fellowship
  • Dr Delia O'Rourke, Co-director and Module Lead – Awarded Senior Fellowship

Dr Delia O’Rourke, Co-Director of the MSc in Genomic Medicine at the Centre for Human Genetics at NDM, said: ‘I am delighted to celebrate the achievements of our MSc Genomic Medicine teaching team, who have earned Advance HE fellowships at all levels—Associate, Fellow, and Senior Fellow. This recognition reflects their commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, and demonstrates their dedication to advancing both Genomic Medicine education and the student experience. We are grateful for the support from the Centre for Teaching and Learning, which has been instrumental in achieving these well-deserved fellowship recognitions.
