Nancy Ahuja

Postdoctoral Research Scientist

Nancy joined as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Lang group at Oxford-GSK-IMCM in January 2025. Her research explores neuron and astrocyte communication in induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) models of neurodegenerative diseases, with a focus on isolating and characterizing extracellular vesicles from iPSC-derived dopamine neurons and astrocytes using proteomics approaches.

Nancy completed her Ph.D. in 2021 at the CSIR Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh, India, where her thesis explored the role of nuclear receptors in modulating ER stress in Parkinson’s disease. In 2023, she joined Richard Wade-Martin’s lab at the University of Oxford as a postdoctoral scientist, working on a project funded by Endlyz Therapeutics. Her research there focused on investigating novel therapeutic targets for Parkinson’s disease and examining the endo-lysosomal pathway to correct disease phenotypes in iPSC-derived neurons from Parkinson’s patients.
