Vedang Narain

Postdoctoral Researcher

Vedang Narain is a postdoctoral researcher based at the Centre for Human Genetics and the Mathematical Institute. His research sits at the intersection of mathematics, computer science, and oncology. He currently investigates how genetic mutations are linked to spatial patterns in precancerous colorectal tissue, with the aim of developing cancer vaccines.

He completed his doctoral research at the University of Oxford, where he developed predictive computational models of tumour vasculature to optimise cancer treatments. He is deeply interested in science policy and was a Nuffield Foundation Fellow at the UK's Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology. Outside of research, he enjoys performing improvisational theatre and photographing wild non-human animals.
