Kaixin Zhang

DPhil Student in Clinical Medicine

Kaixin Zhang is a DPhil student in Clinical Medicine at the University of Oxford, based at the Centre for Human Genetics, supervised by Professor Ira Milosevic, Professor Jenny Taylor, and Professor Clive Wilson. 

For his DPhil project, Kaixin investigates the neurophysiology and pathology of synaptic communication, with a focus on presynaptic membrane trafficking and synaptic vesicle recycling in the context of intellectual disability and neurodevelopment.

Kaixin holds a BSc in Biological Science from Jilin University and a BSc in Biomedical Science from the University of Manchester, and completed an MSc in Pharmacology at the University of Oxford.
