Babak Soleimani

I am a clinical research fellow and a neurology registrar, training in Oxford. I am particularly interested in understanding mechanisms of neuro-immunological disease as a way of identifying novel therapeutic targets and thereby improving treatments. My work is primarily focused on modelling diseases such as autoimmune encephalitis in vitro with a view to adding pathogenic autoantibodies and understanding their downstream effects. I am co-supervised by both Dr Lahiru Handunnetthi at the Centre for Human Genetics and Dr Adam Handel at Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences.
