I am currently engaged as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Julian Knight Group, dedicated to advancing the application of artificial intelligence in science. My work primarily revolves around the development of sophisticated machine learning and deep learning models for analysing multimodal biological and medical data. A significant focus of my research is the utilisation of multimodal datasets, including omics data and cellular images, to uncover diagnostic indicators and subtypes of sepsis.

I am awaiting the viva for my PhD from the University of Bristol, where my thesis explored multimodal medical image analysis, with a special emphasis on retinal imaging through advanced machine learning techniques. My academic journey began with a Master’s in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Bristol, following an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tianjin University.

My research is committed to the concept of AI4Science, aiming to bridge the gap between technological advances and clinical practice. This endeavour seeks to enhance diagnostic processes and improve patient outcomes by pioneering innovative computational methods in the medical field
