Robotics (automated liquid handlers)

The Technology Platform (Omics) group offers automation options for the University of Oxford community. The robotics are open for personal use or collaborative workflow development with our team.

Robotics are bookable on the website as a walk-up service once training has been completed.

Biomek i5 Multichannel

The service houses a Beckman i5 liquid handler with a 96-channel head for medium to high-throughput work.

• SPRI/Ampure XP bead clean-ups for 96-well plate format
• Picogreen dsDNA quantitation for 96-well plate format
• Pooling for 96-well plate format

MGISP-100

An open MGI platform useable for library preparation and nucleic acid extraction. Currently available for use for a wide range of compatible kits beyond what is offered by MGI. These include but are not limited to:

• 10x Chromium Next GEM Single Cell 3’Reagent Kits(8 Samples)
• Illumina DNA Prep
• Illumina Nextera XT DNA Library Prep
• Twist Fast Hybridization Target Enrichment
